MCE 101 took place from June 19th to June 21st in Bellport, NY.

McKEON distributors attended our continuing education course titled Basic Training: Product Awareness, Building Codes, and Marketing. The curriculum focused on familiarizing distributor staff members with the McKEON brand and its unique business model.

We had a full house for this event held at our training center. The building houses a showroom where class participants operate twelve models of wide-span opening protectives that represent a cross section of the product line. An adjoining common space accommodates classroom style seating with digital technology. Students build on their learning experience through slide presentations, case study workshops and the opportunity to engage in dialog with the instructor.

The curriculum provides participants with an introduction to unique building code challenges, regulatory standards, estimating and plan review, market awareness, and penetration. Use of “Fire Door Systems – A Guide to Code Compliance” as a marketing tool and AIA HSW accredited seminars is also covered.

Participants got a tour of the factory tour as well as the opportunity to meet members of the McKEON team in person. The session concluded with an exam on the topics covered over the two and a half days.

Thank you to all who traveled to attend MCE 101! We look forward to hosting future continuing education courses.
